Terroir: there is no such thing as a literal translation of anything French. Wine tasters try to define terroir as the specificity of place, which has come to include not only the soil in a region, but also the climate, the weather, the aspect of the vineyards and anything else that can possibly differentiate one piece of land from another.

When we decided to launch our restaurant, we wanted to insure the end result would be reflecting our terroir, rich and generous, things “well conceived” as our forefathers used to say.
Inspiration also had to come from people, spirited, convivial, dinners spent in great company. spent in unique locations, with memorable conversations. Memories of experiences spent in places like Maison Carrier in Chamonix , Chez Jeannette at l’Ancolie, Chez Mérie at Miroir….

All these moments gave birth to the 3 Glaciers, Welcome to our Home!

“The menu is such a welcome change from the cheese and pizza options available across the region. Beautifully presented, delicious, proper French cooking with amazing service. They made a great fuss of the 14 year old with us celebrating his birthday and we were sorry to go home. Don’t be put off by the fact that it’s also the ski hire shop – it’s incongruous yes – but well worth it.”

“Venant à Montchavin depuis toujours, nous avons réservé un soir au 3 glaciers.
Tout d’abord le cadre est juste magnifique ! Une déco typique et moderne de très bon goût.
Le repas de son côté fut excellent, on y retrouve un mélange de plats traditionnels savoyards ainsi que d’autres plats raffinés.

L’accueil fut chaleureux, nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir !”
